Pro MX Outdoor - 2016 Budds Creek Predictions
8/19/2016
"THIS-WEEK" PREDICTIONS
Who's got the talent and primed to win in Week 11 at Budds Creek? The "This-Week" rankings look at the rider's perceived ability (aka "true talent") as well as injuries and the rider's history at the upcoming track.
Here are the predictions for the 450 class this weekend -- compared to last week, same Top 3: Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, and Marvin Musquin. The next three are also the same as last week, with Justin Barcia, then Weston Peick, followed by Dean Wilson. Benny Bloss checks in all the way at #7, and Anthony Rodruiguez is at #10, though that's based on limited data: one week of 450 pro racing and an adjusted estimate based on his 250 pro track record. Hayden Mellross gets into the Top 20 rankings for the first time as well.
The only major Track Adjustment is for Phil Nicoletti, who finished 8th at Budds Creek in 2015, and finished 9th, 9th, and 10th in the 3 years prior -- compared to 12th on average at tracks other than Budds Creek.
Here are the predictions for the 250 class at Budds Creek:
Mostly minor changes as Cooper Webb, Alex Martin, and Joey Savatgy remain the Top 3. Chris Alldredge joins the rankings, returning from his injury (fractured pelvis) for the first race of the season, and Bradley Taft checks in at 19th for his second pro race, in line with the preview/review of his race at Unadilla. No major Track Adjustments for the 250 riders at Budds Creek.
So, it's not exactly exciting to watch Roczen and Webb cruise in and lock down their respective titles, but there's plenty of racing to be done at Budds Creek in the Top 10 of the 450 class and for the 2nd place spot in the 250s.
